He's hooked up the water and drainage, so the basics are in place. Now, it's my turn to create the ambience.
I'm thinking a little of the rustic appeal like in the Marie Claire photo (above left), plenty of room for pots, tools and plants like the Southern Living image (above right), a dash of character as shown in the photo from Country Living (left) and I'll have the charming potting area I've been wanting.
While I've already planted some seeds in anticipation of spring -- larkspur, poppies and delphinium, others are waiting for the last freeze date to pass.
I have sweet peas, sky vines and passion flowers overwintering indoors for a couple more weeks. Then, they'll march out to the new potting area for planting or transplanting.
While it is stainless steel, I'm thinking there must be a way to give the sink some character. So, I'll make every effort to bring Mother Nature into my plans.
Just look at the wonderful work she does with stone and lichen.
And, I love the way the demure little sink (below) adds a bohemian charm to this outdoor space. Photo from Tchochkes.
Kiss, kiss! Love them all and will share photos of our new potting area when spring rolls around.
