A gate should be a welcoming reflection of the garden's personality, like these two below.
Both of these gates are full of character and speak volumes about the nurturing gardener who lives here. Photos via Designs for Homes (above left) and J. Shadford (above right).
Who says a gate must be elegant or costly? This charming, rustic gate is made of twigs and branches and actually appears to be functional (no doubt more for looks that keeping anything corraled). Photo taken by No Where on Earth.
I love the artistic, pattern created with the cedar branches (left). I imagine these gates leading through a woodland garden. Image via Neo-beatific Vision. Round portholes, large and small, are a favorite design element in many of the gates that intrigue me. Image via Pam Penick.
Have a spare bicycle or two. Why not incorporate them into a unique, one-of-a-kind gate like the one shown below on Squidoo?
Does anything beat a wrought iron gate? Really, is there anything more beautiful?
I would buy this in a heartbeat if it didn't cost a king's ransom. It would look superb at the entrance to my new 'secret' garden next to my studio. Hubby and I will be putting the finishing touches on my new outdoor space in the spring. I'll post pics when it's ready for a reveal.
This sweet number is actually too tall for my space, but I can assure you I would still buy it if the price was right! Photo via The Bella Cottage.
