Palatable pink ...

Do I really believe pink can enter a room and quietly add to the colorplay without being overbearing? Absolutely!

Just take a look a these beauties above that incorporate Honesuckle Pink, this year's 'Color of the Year.' Traditional style gets a 'young-at-heart' punch of pink without being overbearing (photo left from Country Living).

The allure of this French decor is irresistible with the blush of pink on antique slipper chairs and the aubusson rug (photo right from House Beautiful). Don't you just love the bold citrus color on the walls?

Like a whisper, pink quietly works its feminine charm in this room (left) via Cote de Texas.

In a room of quiet grays and white, the pink chair (above right) makes a considered design statement. Image via Remodelista. The room visually feels like a black and white photo on which someone has painstakenly hand-colored the chair.

While I do believe pink can be tonally balanced in a room, as the images above confirm, there are just some times when you want pink to be a showstopper. Below, the kitchen cabinetry is anything but subdued.

This amazing kitchen is designed to complement the Bali style of the home, and I really love the color story here. Honeysuckle Pink may never look better than it does in this photo from Fresh Home.

I love the pink....kitchen's are my favorite, but I'm not sure I could do with a pink kitchen. Maybe a hink of pink here and there, but all the cabinets, probably not.
